Back in January an Online Magazine and community Called Jpg suddenly decided to close down giving just 3 days notice that it will be off line.

Since then almost everyone who is a member of Jpg Magazinedecided that it couldn't't be and set
up a website savejpg added a petition and the response was overwhelming, Ok its been 3 months
now and they are still setting the company up but the website remains open and people can still
upload images and comment on the work displayed.

The original magazine that ran alongside the website has stopped production and will hopfully
comeback soon, and what a great magazine it is.
Jpg Magazine is based in San Francisco but has subsricbers from all over the globe

I have to say that the standard of photography here really is good.

London: A Photographic Wonderland on my Doorstep

Welcome to London, or should I say my London, as seen through my eyes; a place where I can never predict how my photographs will fit together at the end of a day exploring this great city.

For every street I enter and every corner I turn I find 'photographic gold' just there for the taking.

I try to stay off the beaten track and away from the tourist traps, but inevitably I find myself drawn back because there is so much wealth for the photographer to capture.

It's about looking and waiting; then, when light and subject prevail, the shutter is released and another slice of London life is captured.

As with any other major city in the world there's nothing better than grabbing your camera and heading out for the day with a supply of cards/film just to see where the day will take you.

After years spent in and around London I've discovered a number of fantastic locations and know when the best time of day is to take full advantage of them.

Tower Bridge, The Thames, Hyde Park, The City ... all of it a street photographer's battlefield.

Take Speakers Corner in Hyde Park for example - a fantastic place to get it all off your chest on a Sunday morning.

Like other people I've photographed London many times. After a day in the field it's a place I have to retreat from for fear of creative overload.

So I rest and gather my senses for another day; before once again entering the unknown.
